We Are The World ，We Are The Future

　　世界是我们的，未来是我们的

　　Someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book， whose pages are infinite”。 I don’t know who wrote these words， but I’ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be。 We are all in the position of the farmers。 If we plant a good seed ，we reap a good harvest。 If we plant nothing at all， we harvest nothing at all。

　　一些人说“我们正在读一本无穷的书中的第一章的第一节。”我不明白谁写了这些话，可是我一向很喜欢它，因为它提醒了我，我们能够创造我们想要的未来。

　　We are young。 “How to spend the youth?” It is a meaningful question。 To answer it， first I have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” Youth is not a time of life， it’s a state of mind。 It’s not a matter of rosy cheeks， red lips or supple knees。 It’s the matter of the will。 It’s the freshness of the deep spring of life。

　　我们都是农夫。如果我们播下好的种子，我们将会丰收。如果我们的种子很差，有很多草籽，收割的将是无用的庄稼。如果我们什么也不播种，什么收获也没有。

　　Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite ， for adventure over the love of ease。 This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 。 Nobody grows old merely by a number of years 。 We grow old by deserting our ideals。 Years wrinkle the skin ， but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul 。 Worry ， fear ， self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust 。

　　我们是年轻的。“怎样度过青春?”这是个有意义的问题。为了去回答它，我首先要问“从‘青春’这个词中你能理解到什么?” 青春不是人生的一个时期，而是精神的一种状态。青春不是桃面、丹唇、柔膝，而是深沉的意志，。青春是生命的深泉在涌流。

　　Whether 60 of 16 ， there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure of wonders， the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of living 。 In the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty ， hope ，cheer， courage and power from men and from the infinite， so long as you are young 。

　　A poet said “To see a world in a grain of sand， and a heaven in a wild flower， hold infinity in the palm of your hand， and eternity in an hour。 Several days ago， I had a chance to listen to a lecture。 I learnt a lot there。 I’d like to share it with all of you。 Let’s show our right palms。 We can see three lines that show how our love。career and life is。 I have a short line of life。 What about yours? I wondered whether we could see our future in this way。 Well， let’s make a fist。 Where is our future? Where is our love， career， and life? Tell me。Yeah， it is in our hands。 It is held in ourselves。

　　一位诗人说“从一粒沙看世界，从一朵花看天堂，把无限放在你的手掌，永恒在一刹那里收藏”。几天前，我有了一个听讲座的机会，从中我学到了很多东西。此刻，我想把这些与大家共享。让我们伸出右手，我们能够看到手掌中的展示我们的爱，事业和生活的三条线。我在生活方面这条线很短，那你们的呢?我想明白我们是否能够用这种办法去看我们的未来。好的，让我们一齐握拳。我们的未来在哪儿?我们的爱、事业和生活在哪儿?告诉我!是的，它们就在我们的手中。它们被我们自我掌握着。

　　We all want the future to be better than the past。 But the future can go better itself。 Don’t cry because it is over， smile because it happened。 From the past， we’ve learnt that the life is tough， but we are tougher。 We’ve learnt that we can’t choose how we feel， but we can choose what about it。 Failure doesn’t mean you don’t have it， it does mean you should do it in a different way。 Failure doesn’t mean you should give up， it does mean you must try harder。

　　我们所有人都期望未来能比过去更完美，可是未来能自我变得更好。不要因为结束而哭泣，微笑吧，为你的以往拥有。从过去来看，生活是艰苦的，但我们是更坚强。我们明白我们不能选择感觉，可是我们能选择和它相关的东西。失败并不意味着你不拥有成功，它只意味着你应当用另一种方式去做这件事。失败并不意味着你应当放下，只意味着你应当更加努力。

　　As what I said at the beginning， “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book， whose pages are infinite”。 The past has gone。 Nothing we do will change it。 But the future is in front of us。 Believe that what we give to the world， the world will give to us。 And from today on， let’s be the owners of ourselves， and speak out “We are the world， we are the future。”

　　正如我在前面所说的“我们正在读一本无穷的书中的第一章的第一节。”过去的已经过去，无论我们无力改变，可是未来却在我们前方。相信“我们给了世界什么，世界也将给我们”。并且从今日起，让我们一齐做我们自我的主人，一齐大声说出“世界是我们的，未来是我们的。”

　　英语演讲稿3分钟（二）：

　　Nothing is difficult if you put your heart on it。 Nothing is easy if you don’t try your best。

　　We often hear people say， “Never give up。” This can be encouraging words and words of determination。 A person who believes in them will keep trying to reach his goal no matter how many times he fails。 In my opinion， the quality of determination to succeed is an important one to have。 Therefore， I believe that we should never give up。

　　One reason is that if we give up too easily， we will rarely achieve anything。 It is not unusual for us to fail in our first attempt at something new， so we should not feel discouraged and should try again。 Besides， if we always give up when we fail， we will not be able to develop new skills and grow as people。 Another reason we should never give up is that we can learn from our mistakes only if we make a new effort。 If we do not try again， the lesson we have learned is wasted。 Finally， we should never give up because as we work to reach our goals， we develop confidence， and this confidence can help us succeed in other areas of our lives。

　　Probably the greatest example of persistence is Abraham Lincoln。 Born into poverty， Lincoln was faced with defeat throughout his life。 He lost eight elections， twice failed in business and suffered a nervous breakdown。

　　He could have quit many times - but he didn't and because he didn't quit， he became one of the greatest presidents in the history of our country。

　　Lincoln was a champion and he never gave up。

　　In short， it is important that we don’t give up when working for our goals。 Whether we succeed in the end or not， we will learn something， and what we learn will help us to bee better， more confident people。 Furthermore， if we give up， we have no chance of attaining our goals， but if we keep trying， there is always a chance that we will succeed one day。Thank you very much!

　　如果你把你的心脏上没有什么是困难的。没有什么是容易的，如果你不尝试你的。

　　我们经常听到人们说：“永远不要放下。”这能够鼓励决心的词与词。一个人谁相信他们将继续努力，不管经历多少次失败，到达到他的目标。在我看来，有决心的质量成功是有一个重要的之一。所以，我认为我们应当永不放下。

　　原因之一是，如果我们太轻易放下，就几乎无法完成任何事。这是很平常的我们在我们的一些新的第一次尝试失败了，所以我们不应感到气馁，应当再试一次。此外，如果我们总是放下当我们失败，我们将无法发展新的技能和成长的人。另外一个原因，我们不应当放下的是，我们能够从我们的错误中吸取教训，仅有我们作出新的努力。如果我们不再试一次，我们吸取的教训是浪费。最终，我们应当永不放下，因为当我们努力到达我们的目标，我们就会培养出自信，而这种自信将有助于我们在生活的其他领域中获得成功。

　　大概持续性的的例子就是林肯。出生在贫困家庭，林肯面临着他一生的失败。他输八大选，两次经商失败，并遭受了神经衰弱。

　　他能够放下很多次 - 但他并没有因为他没有放下，他成为我国历最伟大的总统之一。

　　林肯是一个冠军，他从来没有放下过。

　　总之，这是我们努力追求目标时，不放下是很重要的。无论我们最终还是没有成功，我们都会学到一些东西，而我们学什么会帮忙我们变得更好，更有自信的人。此外，如果我们放下，我们没有机会实现我们的目标，但如果我们继续努力，总有一个机会，我们会有成功的。十分感激!
